In this webinar, Edward Au, Co-leader of the National Public Offering Group of Deloitte China, will provide an overview of performance and developments in Hong Kong's capital market, in particular initial public offerings (IPO) in the first quarter of 2020. In addition to discussing how the macro-economic and geopolitical environment are likely to shape the capital market in the rest of 2020, he will provide insights on how the COVID-19 outbreak and its aftermath are likely to prompt developments in the public and private sectors and among accounting professionals.
Speaker’s Bio
Edward Au serves as Co-leader of National Public Offering Group of Deloitte China and manages one of the Southern China Audit & Assurance groups. He has nearly three decades of experience in auditing different businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, and the Chinese Mainland and involving in debt and equity offerings.
He is one of the firm’s key opinion leaders on matters related to IPOs and the capital market. Under Edward's leadership, Deloitte China has been the IPO leader in Hong Kong for many years.
Edward also contributes his efforts to professional development and the community in Hong Kong through his service to various professional bodies. He is a council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, an audit committee member of the Hong Kong Red Cross, and a member of the Investment Task Force of the Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong.
